Ipsen Batch Furnaces Supporting Equipment
Ipsen Washers
WSPD - Standard Automatic Washer
The Ipsen WSPD Automatic Washer effectively removes from metal parts accumulated oils resulting form metalworking processed or quenching in oil. Contaminated parts undergo an immersion in heated solution with oscillation, a high-pressure spray rinse, and a drying procedure using heated forced air. The WSPD unit is available for straight-through or in-out load transfer.
- Immersion, oscillation, spray rinse & drying for effective cleaning
- Continuous oil skimmer assembly removes oils from tank
- Straight-through or in-out load transfer
- Optional coalescing and gravity-type oil systems
W-VCA - Dual-Solution Washer
The Ipsen W-VCA dual-solution washer offers a unique solution for pre- and post-washing of loads. With the two-tank design, both immersion washing in alkaline or neutral cleaners and spray washing/rinsing with a second medium can be performed in the same machine. A variety of options are available including gas or electrical firing, as well as straight-through or one-door designs.
- Spray and immersion washing in one machine
- Hot air drying for complete drying of load
- Automatic solution concentration checking
- Effective oil and dirt separation
Ipsen Loaders
A load handling transfer car is essential in any automated batch integral quench furnace line. Ipsen's transfer cars are designed to provide efficient, reliable transfer of heat treat loads. Transfer cars are available for several equipment hearth configurations.
Charge Car for Roller Rail Hearth Configurations:
- Ipsen Charge Cars are designed to transfer loads between Ipsen I/O type equipment incorporating roller rail hearth supports and center transfer chain guide. They incorporate a powered mechanism to traverse along equipment on floor mounted rails.
- Ipsen's proven, rugged “Posi-Line” transfer chain drives loads into and out of equipment on both sides of the car. The “Posi-Line” transfer chain includes integral stops along the full chain length only allow the chain links to bend in one direction.
Two standard Charge Car sizes are available:
| Model |
Workload Size |
Capacity |
| 1500 |
24” wide by 36” long |
1,500 lbs. |
| 3036 |
36” wide by 48” long |

Loader, Loader/Unloader, and UNI-Loaders for Full Width Roller or Ceramic Hearth Configurations:
- Ipsen Loaders, Loader/Unloaders, and UNI-Loaders are designed to transfer loads into Ipsen T type equipment incorporating ceramic or full width roller type hearths. Units are available in many configurations including stationary, manual, and powered traversable versions, single or double ended versions, and standard and extended reach versions.
- A motor drives push bar assembly when loading. In the case of the Loader/Unloader and UNI-Loaders, the same motor drives two bar extensions when unloading.
Two standard Loader, Loader/Unloader, and UNI-Loader sizes are available:
