Gas Quench Nozzles Enhance High Pressure Quenching
ThreadFast Gas Quench Nozzle
Ipsen has provided yet another innovation available for use in VFS model furnaces. ThreadFast gas quench nozzles are specially designed to provide the least restrictive gas flow path into the vacuum furnace work zone.
ThreadFast gas quench nozzles, available in graphite or ceramic, provide a more durable and cost-effective alternative to standard moly nozzles.
Ipsen's patented ThreadFast gas quench nozzles are critical to fast, high-pressure quenching. The gas flow passes through the nozzles directly into the hot zone and disperses uniformly over the work load for more efficient quenching. The easy screw-in/screw-out threaded nozzle design is easier to replace than standard moly nozzles, helping to minimize downtime.
Isothermic Gas Quench Flapper Nozzle
Ipsen isothermic gas quench flapper nozzles feature unique one-way dampers that close by gravity during the heating cycle to preserve thermal efficiency within the hot zone. They open automatically only during the quench cycle. Unlike other furnace brands, Ipsen furnace dampers are located on the "cool" side of the hot zone to eliminate distortion due to expansion and contraction. This prevents costly downtime and unscheduled maintenace. Placing the dampers on the outside of the hot zone also reduces the possibility of contamination depostion and eliminates potential problems with moving components. And regardless of its position on the hot zone, the damper assembly is designed to remain fully closed. |
